User experience research and design is of course vitally important to enabling our customers and audiences to achieve their wishes and goals when visiting our digital media. I have been creating user personas, journeys, sitemaps, wireframes and interactive prototypes for many years as well as running user research workshops, interviews and follow on recommendation reports.
Recently I have been undertaking such workshop creation and facilitation for a new start-up social media based mobile app, including follow on product definition, personas, journeys and an interactive prototype that works direct on the clients mobile.
On a different scale to this was the running several workshops, conducting high level stakeholder interviews, creating personas and journeys and finally, providing the OECD in Paris with an in-depth strategic report to influence future digital decisions and collaboration internally and externally. View the case study here.
I enjoy creating fully interactive Axure based wireframe prototypes and know that this is a brilliant way for clients and test users to get a good feel of how the eventual product will act. Examples include the mobile app above, O2, Colt and The Bankers Almanac.
Other UX / IA type work over the years includes Mini, BMW, Betty Crocker, Mentholatum, KCA, Yahoo, Dr Martens and The Food Standards Agency.
