A poll carried out before the campaign showed that a quarter of a million adults in the UK have suspected that child abuse is happening but have done nothing about it.
The campaign was created by us at DNA in order to encourage people, children and adults, to talk to someone they trust and break down the barriers that prevent people talking about child abuse
and press campaign, providing users with ‘TalkTown’, a place where they could ask the four characters questions on the NSPCC, complete the survey and donate direct.
The site used the powerful Linguabot software to enable intelligent & automatic two way conversation with the user.
In total 279,780 surveys were returned with many done online. Research shows 44% of 16-64 year olds remembered the ‘speech bubble’ TV advert.
