The Betty Crocker brand is huge globally and a big hit across Australia. But there was not an Australian website. Until Mndshare and myself created it, with the invaluable help of Hard Hat Digital Melbourne.
Whilst working at Mindshare Australia in the capacity of Digital Creative Services Director we won the pitch with our chosen partners Hard Hat to design and build the brand new Betty Crocker website for General Mills. A proud moment as this was our first big website win for my newly created department and we were up against some big creative agencies.
I worked with Daniel Monheit and the team at Hard Hat to come up with the website strategy from scratch and create the information architecture and UX before the team designed an built the new website. This involved a lot of liason with General Mills in America to ge things nicely on brand and all safely at home on their servers.
The website nicely showcases their delicious products, provides tantalising recipes to take things that bit further than following the instructions on the packet, and lots of baking hints and tips for our visitors to put into practice.
